What size are my gloves?

To choose the most suitable gloves, you need to know the size of your hand.
Measure the contour of the palm of your hand at the height of the base of your thumb, but not including it.
Compare the dimension obtained with the dimensions proposed in the following table to find the corresponding size of your hand.
Don't forget that your glove should fit snugly around your hand to ensure comfort while driving.

Important note:

Gloves are essential safety elements of the rider's equipment. They must combine several criteria to be safe, light, resistant and flexible while ensuring a pleasant ride. When testing your gloves, they should not be tight around the palm, as this would prevent good grip on your wheel and would waste valuable time. Fireproof, FIA, internal or external seams, Velcro or elastic fastenings, reinforcements... We quickly come across a series of characteristics.

Approval and safety: Under penalty of cancellation of the event, the use of FIA 8856-2000 flame-retardant gloves is mandatory for drivers and optional for co-drivers in any sporting event, be it rally, circuit or any other regional or national discipline. FIA regulations are also mandatory for all international events.

A small reminder regarding the visibility of the FIA homologation labels, they must be sewn or printed on the outside of the glove at wrist height.

In addition to mandatory flame retardant gloves, some gloves have reinforcements or padding on the fingers or palm for added vibration dampening and enhanced protection. The addition of leather or silicone inserts allows for a greater feeling of grip with the steering wheel, they are found on the inside of the fingers and on the palm of most competition gloves.

For the mesh inserts, they allow greater breathability of your hand in the glove. Glove seams can be internal or external.

Quite discreet when outside, they provide greater comfort and less friction.

Some gloves are created with a single layer of fabric, thus limiting seams and allowing for a lighter weight.

The wrist support is equally important because it allows you to not lose your glove while driving. - a velcro closure allows excellent wrist maintenance while an elastic closure prevents the glove from slipping and does not have numerous closure systems.
