Using a dual master cylinder system allows you to have control over the rear brakes independently, allowing you to maintain the safety element of your car's braking system.

Drifting and rally driving require extensive use of the handbrake, which can be deficient in standard cable-type handbrakes. The hydraulic system eliminates the weaknesses of standard cable-type parking brakes. The hydraulic system connects to the brake line that runs to the rear calipers and requires much less force to fully lock both rear wheels when needed. Drivers use a hydraulic handbrake to lock or release the rear wheels when they want to roll the car sideways or turn in place. Rally drivers must regularly turn 180 degrees in place when shooting at an intersection, or they must turn too far left or right and there is not enough wheel lock to do so. The hydraulic parking brake is not used to stop the car. A hydraulic handbrake can be added to the rear brake line system without changing the original mechanical handbrake setup.

Obp Ltd has developed a new range of hydraulic handbrakes with adjustable cotter pins. These systems will allow you to use the hydraulic parking brake as a temporary parking brake.

DO NOT use the Hyd Parking Brake as a permanent parking brake.
